Eli Manning was named Super Bowl MVP for the second time in his career. The Giants set a new record for the worst regular season record (9–7, win percentage of 56.3%) by a Super Bowl champion. It was the most-watched program in the history of United States television, with 111.3 million US viewers, meaning that over 33% of the American population watched the initial broadcast.
